The highlight of this years show was the presentation to Marine SSGT Guillermo 'TJ' Tejada his new 2011 Camero customized to be driven with hand controls. Not a more worthy representive of our time could have been chosen. With his family of three children, his wife and mother in attendance Lisa Stehle of the Semper fi Fund,  handed the keys to a grateful warrior. Most of the local TV stations were on hand to record the action. There was hardly a dry eye in crowd.

Again we had a large compliment of beautiful classic cars highlighted by pre-war Best of Show Gary Severns '1932 Lincoln KB Roadster and Douglas Gilbert's post-war Best of Show 1958 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham. Cruzin 50's showed up in force to take the Club Participation trophy. Thanks to the generous donations by the L.A. Roadsters, Street Rods Unlimited and our many other sponsors we were able to raise over $11,500 for the Fund.

Besides our mainstay disc jockey Colin Day our entertainment was supplied by the Freelancer Alumni Drum and Bugle Corps, a fitting ensemble to play colors supplied by the Marine Corps.

Again, many thanks to Wyotech for suppling their wonderful facility, the LBFD and the LBPD for their participation.

We plan to do this all over again next year on Aug 12, 2012. Mark your calendars. See you there.
